About Cariocas
Cariocas is an ongoing documentary film, shot in Rio de Janeiro by Alexandra M. Gonzalez. It is a full-feature documentary and it is being aimed to be completed in 2020, with some additional materials to be shot and edited.
What is Cariocas?
It is an intimate glance upon five uncommon people's lives in Rio de Janeiro where music, dance, art and belief move through the neighborhoods of city and the Cariocas identity.
Synopsis
In Rio de Janiero, there is a place unknown to many; Armazem do Senado - the historical meeting point of the original Cariocas. Coming across five uncommon characters, we tell a story of faith, music and passion, giving an insight to Carioca's identity where Samba, Art, Jazz, Capoeira and Candomblé create a unique alchemy.
